3M Paint Defender | possible solution for florida love bug

3M has designed a product called 3M Paint Defender. A spray on clear film designed to last up to a year. Giving our situation in Florida with the seasonal love bugs… I don’t believe a full year is accomplish able? (Cars commuting at low miles may get that one year of protection) We have been testing this film, and so far… we are happy with what we’re seeing.

Do you have a track car…. Are you getting ready for a long road trip…. or just trying to save your paint through the love bug season????

This could answer all the above! We will be adding this as a service very soon!

The application process including “full prep” is around 16 hrs (2 days)

I will be adding another post in a few short days to come. We will add the durability and effectiveness, once we run this car through it’s complete testing.

Mustang GT500 correction and 22ple treatment

Here was a detail from a while back….. a GT500 Mustang that came in for 22PLE Treatment. The car required a decent amount of correction to the paint before laying glass coating. The Stang was thoroughly washed and decontaminated, masked off, polished out and treated with a semi permanent coating…. “22PLE” to the paint, wheels, metal and trim.

Aston Martin Vantage

This detail took place in the West Palm Beach area of Florida. A 15 hr detail, covering as much as could be covered in one shot. This car received a full interior detail and about 90% correction to the paint was achieved. The paint was a bit finicky in some areas but still came out looking great. No cool after shots or sun shots of this one as it was super late when the car was finished.

Honda Odyssey 22PLE New Car Prep Treatment

  We recently had a New Car Prep and 22PLE Glass Coating Treatment right before the Holidays. This vehicle came from Daytona to our facility in Orlando for a two and a half day stay treatment. This Honda had just under 1000 miles on it as it was a new purchase. The customer and I shared some emails a couple several weeks before to get this car started off on the right track for vehicle protection.

Bentley GT Paint Correction Detail | The After Shots

Here we have a nice soft body paint correction detail on this beautiful well respected Bentley GT. This detail was just over 20 hrs to perfect the paint, engine, and interior reconditioning. Upon delivery this soft black paint was full of swirls and heavy marin from the dealership. A two step correction process was enough to bring it back to life! The car was topped off with Swissvax wax and will last a great deal of time for the vehicle protection. Here’s a few pics of how it turned out! Such an elegant and classy car! Enjoy!

Ferrari 16M Rosso Corsa Paint Correrction Detail

  This was a 25 hour detail and Paint Correction. One of the most beautiful reds for any Ferrari, “Rosso Corsa”! The paint was fully corrected with Scholl’s Polishes from Esoteric Car Care. After correction the paint was topped off with a developmental Swissvax Wax from Swissvax.us! The trim on this awesome 499 production car was treated and protected with 22PLE VR1. The wheels where protected with “Wolfs Rim Shield” from DetailersDomain.

Jaguar XKR Paint Correction

First car to be done in our new shop!!!

  An extensive Paint Correction on a Jaguar XKR. A little over 20 hours of correction time using M105 and Meg’s Cutting Disc. (3″ & 5″) Followed up with Scholl’s S30+ with Meg’s Finishing Disc. I found this to be a great combination for this soft body Jag. Then the car was gone over with Swissvax Cleaner Fluid and topped off with a very wonderful developmental wax from Swissvax USA. All the exterior trim was coated with 22PLE, VR1 Signature Trim and Plastic Restorer.

Lotus Esprit Final Goodbys

Its always sad to see a vehicle that has been cared for for so long go.

After almost five years of tending to this Lotus Esprit’s good looks…. Its come time to be passed on. Like most exotics, they get passed on from one privileged owner to the next. As far as myself “The Detailer of this car” It saddens me. This one will be leaving the state and may be a long time before I see it again. Carbon Black Edition, Aston Martin DBS Correction

Recently had the pleasure of correcting this rather newish Aston Martin DBS carbon black edition! This was an exterior detail to remove scratches and swirls and some of the factory D/A wet sand rids. Yes, only some… the entire bonnet and front bumper is covered with clear film and thought it would be best to get a little more life out of it before removing it. The clear film did however need a bit of correction on it as well. Swissvax Shield Wax was the choice of protection in this detail!!! A great choice of wax for a car that gets used regularly! And “I must say”… It looks Phenomenal!!! The DBS also got some great protection to the convertible top! Overall time on this car was around 12 hours.

Every now and then the world produces something completely awesome and extremely special! Recently I had the privilege of detailing 1 of 3 “white” Porsche Carrera GT’s in the world! Right after a day of relaxation in Miami Beach from the goldRush Rally event, we paid ADV.1Wheels a visit. You may remember the first detail from this Porsche Turbo and how it got a Swissvax treatment?!?! If not…. check it out here at Swissvax Paint Correction Detail on Porsche Turbo

A recent detail done in Dec. of 2011!!! The Porsche received a full Swissvax treatment on the paint work and was topped off with a developmental Swissvax wax. Total time for the detail was around 15-16 hours and has more to come in the near future!!! Well the near future has come!!! The car has had a few pairs of new wheels since… but when revisiting it, she was wearing the stock wheels. Some proper attention was paid to the new front and rear clips. Other than that, pretty basic detail. Interior, Leather treatment, exterior, and trim! Just a few quick pics!!! Enjoy and Thanks Viewing!!!

ADV.1Wheels Ferrari 599 GTB Paint Correction Detail with aowheels

We presented two teaser shots of this detail a few weeks ago…. Better late than never for a car that has been re-born again!!! This Ferrari 599 came out better than anyone could have anticipated! The first step ADV.1Wheels took in this project was the detail!!! The guys called me up and asked me to perform some magic to this new beast! The paint was in pretty poor shape and needed close to 2 lbs of clear bra removed…. The car was delivered to a location in Miami where I would have the car for a total of 5 days to getting looking its best!

World Icon Supercar Detailed “The Ferrari F40″

What an experience to be able to detail a world icon vehicle! It really doesn’t get much better in my book! And to have Peter…. “an outstanding photographer” accompanies me… “Blessed” to say the least!
Most of you may know how great this car is! But for the ones who don’t know… There was only 1,315 made world wide through the years of 1987 to 1992. The vehicle was made with weight in mind and to save some, Ferrari shot the car with single stage paint with only one coat. With that being said… It would be to my knowledge… The F40’s and F50’s of the world would be some of the most difficult cars to perform a paint correction detail to.

MazdaSpeed3 Correction | Orlando Detail | aowheels

‎2009 Mazdaspeed 3. HKS exhaust, Mazdaspeed cold air intake, twm short shifter and shift knob, kw coil-over suspension, And Mazda R x-8 wheels! SWEEET! This vehicle showed up in “not” the worst condition but still was in need of a correction detail. Incredible amount of respect for the owner of this car! Great care and respect for your car shows for a vehicle of this nature. A daily driver car with thin paint…. in the state of Florida with no bug damage….. wow! That’s just not common!

Aston Martin DB9 Orlando Detail 27 hour paint correction

“Caught in the rain after the detail”!!! This DB9 paint correction took 27 hours to restore the paint surface to “as  it should be” status!!! Black with 10,000 miles on it and finally received a proper detail to be rid of the factory D/A wet sand blemishes! I usually show a few pics of the detail in progress or some 50/50′s etc. etc….. A look into a BMW Z8 Paint Correction!!! with More to Come!!!

  “The BMW z8″!!! This is a incredible and pretty rare vehicle to come by. Unlike any other BMW that I have ever worked on, this one is unique in every way! Packing the MPower and manual 6 speed on a sleek light weight convertible BMW chassis… “Hello” I cant imagine how much fun it would be! With only 5,703 of these made world wide and featured in the James Bond film “The World Is Not Enough.” I knew I was going to have a lot of fun with this detail!!! And boy did it need it!

Festivals of Speed just came to town!

  (April 1st 2012) Festivals of Speed came to visit St. Petersburg Florida!!! And “WOW”!!! What a great show it was!!! If you missed it, that’s OK!
