What is Paint Correction?
Paint Correction is the process of removing scratches, swirls, holograms, orange peel, hard water stains, etching, and other imperfections from the paint surface via machine polishing and/or wet-sanding.
Why preform Paint Correction?
Having your vehicle professionally corrected will maintain the value and also provide consistent good looks. The work that goes into the process will also benefit the protection (wax, sealant or coating) in a large way by lasting longer than normal. This is because the machine polishing process levels out the defects and thoroughly cleans the paint surface therefor when the protection is applied, you’ll get the best possible results on a perfect finish.
When do you need Paint Correction?
For daily driver cars its best to have this service done every one to two years. For classics, rare and other garage queen types of vehicles it may not need to be done as frequently. (Preservation to the top surface of paint is crucial to the life of the vehicle) Over buffing a vehicle will eventually result in UV/Clear Coat failure. As the main purpose for clear coat is to help protect the paint from harmful UV rays and other contaminates.
Paint and top coat only have so much room to work with. It’s vital to preserve the paint as much as possible through a machine polishing process. This is where hiring a professional can make or break the job being done so that the car is safe and healthy to have a future. Quick fixes or cheap labor is always great for the consumer however it is sometimes more harm than good when dealing with your automotive investment.
